Elkjøp Nordic brings home prestigious award as they win The Retailer of the Year award at the TCG Summit.

The TCG Industry Awards are considered one of the most prestigious awards within retail. The awards recognize the most innovative TCG brands operating in EMEA. The jury emphasized that Elkjøp Nordic had stood out and excelled with very strong results.
– This award has “team effort” written all over it. It is an acknowledgement of how we have solved the Covid-situation and delivered on development and innovation where we consolidate our position as the leading omnichannel player in the region, says Sønsterud.
Since 2020, the TCG Awards have also featured the Retailer Award. The winners were selected by a Grand Jury. The Retailer Award was judged by top representatives from current TCG summit strategic partners.
– It is always nice to receive recognition from our peers in the industry. It works as a great motivation for us to continue to improve and stay ahead as an industry leader, Sønsterud continues.
In a year dominated by the pandemic, shutdowns and strong consumer behaviour shifts, the TCG awards especially took notice of retailers who had adapted in the best possible manner. Sønsterud is humbled by the achievement, outcompeting many strong brands.
